Analytical Services

Aim : To improve environmental monitoring in the field and the laboratory through water, air and soil analyses.

The reorientation of the EPA towards a more sustainable environmental management in pursuit of a Green Economy resulted in the introduction of the Analytical Services Progamme on February 20, 2017. The programme has been established to oversee the development and operation of EPA’s first independent Environmental Analytical Laboratory.

The Guyana Environmental Protection Agency Laboratory (GEPAL), is currently being developed to provide science-based evidence in support of the Agency’s decision-making process, through analytical assessment of the environment and environmental samples in accordance with EPA’s mandate.
