Following the success of last year’s Ride for the Environment in Linden, a similar Ride was coordinated in Essequibo this year. Some thirty five (35) riders from the New Opportunity Corps, Queenstown Primary, Cotton Field Secondary, Anna Regina Multilateral School, the President’s Youth Award – Republic of Guyana participated in the event on Saturday, 9 July. The activity was a novelty for both the riders and the residents who came out and looked on with interest as the ride progressed from the start point at Queenstown to the finishing line at Damian Square, Anna Regina.
