This Regional Consultation brought together high-level representatives, leading policy-makers, experts, and stakeholders with an interest in marine litter and microplastics from member states of Latin American and the Caribbean Region.

The aim of the consultation was to provide an  opportunity for member states to; share information on current actions to reduce marine plastic litter and microplastics,  exchange views, and solicit inputs from the region in preparation for the 4th meeting of the Expert Group (AHEG-4) which will take place from November 9-13, 2020.
